I found a dead mouse this morning, on the path where Tilda likes to chew things. It was dead and wet but not chewed. I got a mask, double-bagged it in plastic, and put it in the trash which is being picked up this morning. iNaturalist suggested both house mouse and deer mouse, but I think I see the characteristic deer mouse tail, dark on top and light underneath. Has hantavirus come this far north yet? Can dogs get hantavirus? # HantaVirus # DeerMouse # AskFedi
