Should we be worried about Hantavirus?

So I'm sure by now everyone's heard of the Hantavirus outbreak. But I'm not sure who or what to believe. One person says this, another person says this, then we hear we aren't supposed to trust xxx source. I'm not sure what's true and what's just fearmongering. What I do know is I have OCD and health anxiety so this outbreak with a 40% mortality rate makes me really, really scared. Is the playbook similar to early COVID? did people back then really tell us not to worry about COVID or are people misremembering? Can you pass Andes while being asymptomatic? They say the R-naught is close to 0, then they say it's just a little less than COVID? are the experts downplaying this, or are we all just traumatized from covid? This probably isn't even all the questions I have but I can't even think of them all. I'm just terrified of such a high mortality rate, and scared to have to do online school again. My first major OCD episode was because of the initial covid outbreak, I can't afford to spiral like that again or take a gap year from college (I will not be able to do online school) Anyone here have an expertise of this area or know any reputable sources?
