nothing ever happens

people go through this every time some new "thing" that's contagious comes out ever since Covid. First it was Monkeypox. Then it was h5n1 bird flu. Then it was this. Nothing ever happens. Covid was truly a once in lifetime event. What's sad is that if you go to those respective subs, the things that get the most upvotes are things that sensational things. "New outbreak in x" posts or "New human case in x area'. But the posts that truly put things into perspective never get upvoted. People are just worried (rightfully) since covid but like I said, nothing ever happens. If you ever see people being like "I felt about hantavirus the same way I did with covid" just remember there were people going around saying "I felt about monkeypox/h5n1/ebola/whatever the same way I felt about covid" and guess what? Nothing happened. That is because Nothing ever happens. This sub will be dead by July/August. Just like the Monkeypox sub/discord (Yeah did you even know they had a discord? Don't check it out. There's some corn in the general chat that's so dead it's not even moderatored) and all the other subs/groups/trackers about all the other pathogens since covid. Have a good day! And keep calm. submitted by /u/ExtensionSoil6801 to r/hantavirus [link] [comments]
