Content warning: why im allowed to make this joke i dont want anyone think for one second that i do not care about peoples lives. my system helped develop canadas most accurate covid metric, the covid-19 hazard index. we served on the board of the only major non-profit in canada that distributes respirators to low-income canadians. in 2022, i received a grant to purchase a co2 monitor, pulse-oximeter, and diy air purifier parts to loan/donate to neighbors. my sister was on the vancouver school districts first ever accessibility committee, where she was one of two members who had aerosol hygiene expertise. we get bullied in public for wearing a respirator. weve known ppl who have been physically assaulted by strangers for doing the same. i dont want anyone to come at me for making a joke in poor taste. the deliberate ignorance of others, based solely on their own sense of comfort, is in poor taste. # hantavirus
