Cleaning mice nest out of my car

Hey everyone, so I didn’t drive my car for a few weeks due to being extremely sick and it seems like a family of mice made themselves at home in my glovebox. I wore gloves and removed the nest, changed my air filter and cabin air filter. I also cleaned all the shredded paper out, and used some Odors Away after airing it out for multiple days. It still smells a bit and I’m worried some of the nest got into the AC system because when I ran the AC it smelled really bad. I’m also a bit worried about possibly getting sick from cleaning this. I assume it’s not really something to be concerned about since I’ve been doing it in a well vented area (my driveway) and have been wearing gloves. I made the mistake of googling it and it told me I could get Hantavirus if the mice are infected, which obviously I have no way of knowing. submitted by /u/AEUG_Quattro to r/cardetailingtips [link] [comments]
